  • "I don't pretend to be the character, I AM the character" - Tom Cruise on Tom Cruise

    Tom Cruise has acted in more than 30 movies, produced more than 15 films, and even dabbled in writing and directing. Career aside, he plays doting father to his baby daughter Suri, and loving husband to Katie Holmes, an actress who can hold her own just about as well as him.

    It's also widely known that our Oscar-nominated actor, who once endeavored to becoming a Catholic priest is now a prominent member of the Church of Scientology, amidst many other stars. He claims that this was his miracle cure to the dyslexia he was diagnosed with at age six.

    From someone who apparently had no interest in acting until a knee injury forced him to drop out of the high school wrestling team and try out for a school play instead, I'd say he's done a fabulous job of advancing his career and stealing both the limelight, and a place in the hearts of many teenage girls.

    Apparently, world famous movie producer Steven Spielberg seems to think so too:
    "Tom just happens to burn brighter than most, and that's before you even factor in how talented an actor he is."
