    As mentioned in an earlier post, I was overwhelmed by the possibilities that were offered by this project. There are just so many desirables in the fashion market that it is difficult to choose just one specific area. After much deliberation, I finally narrowed down my choices to three style categories:
    1. cutting-edge; trendy; chic
    2. cutesy; feminine; colourful
    3. preppy
    This project however, will be developing the brand's first category (cutting edge, trendy and chic), and focusing on a specialized denim collection, accompanied by sexy shoes, lust-worthy accessories and fashionable tops to match.

    Having finally come to this decision, I began to brainstorm for brand name ideas.
    I came up with about twenty brand name ideas, but have picked out my favourite five as shown below, and will briefly explain why I picked out these words.
    1. Volitionary - can be used to mean the act of making a conscious choice, and as such could help suggest that this brand is a top choice.
    2. Paradigm- refers to the setting of example or a certain pattern, thus implying by name association that this brand is a trend setter.
    3. Le Noir- classic and simple with a touch of elegance provided by the use of French, the meaning: "black" helping to symbolize the brand's cutting-edge attitude.
    4. Decadence- in modern day, decadence often refers to something that is lusted after, something that is almost sinful in nature due to it's pure luxury. this is the kind of quality that I want my brand to exude.
    5. Revelry- the act of merrymaking; of joyous noise and celebrations.
    As you can see from the blog's url, I decided on DECADENT-REVELRY. I am thinking along the lines that THE-DECADENCE can be the brand's name, while REVELRY seems suitably appropriate for the first category that I am developing for this brand. Thus should this brand have the opportunity to expand into the other two categories, there is transferability as it can be named DECADENT-(INSERT SOMETHING ELSE).
